Have you ever had a gut feeling about something and ignored it, only to regret it later? Or maybe you’ve had a quiet nudge in the back of your mind that led you to a wonderful opportunity? That, my friend, is your intuition speaking. I always imagine my intuition as a rather shy woman in the background. She is wise, only speaks when needed and not at all frustrated at all the thousands of times I ignored her whispers. But lately I am trying to be more aware of her, trying to actually listen to her. And you know what? She has been right all the time, saved me a lot of time, which I would have spent doing the wrong things. Now my intuition is not so in the background any more, she will never be loud but always there. She is the voice of my soul and wants to be part of my everyday life.

Intuition flourishes in an environment of self-love and self-care. When we neglect our needs, fill our days with noise, and prioritize everyone else, our inner wisdom gets drowned out. On the other hand, when we nurture ourselves, we create space for our intuition to speak clearly.

- Daily Check-Ins: Start your day by asking yourself, “How do I feel today? What do I need?” Instead of reaching to your phone, watch the news or scroll through your todo list.
- Set Boundaries: Protect your time and energy by saying no to things that drain you. As I am still in training for this, I found out that actually people accept a clear no and still like you. Much to my surprise.
- Celebrate Yourself: Acknowledge your wins—big or small. Bought yourself flowers? That’s a win. Took a nap when you needed it? Another win.
- Surround Yourself with Support: Spend time with people who uplift and encourage you.
Meditation: Tuning in to Your Inner Wisdom
One of the best ways to strengthen your intuitive muscle is through meditation. In our fast-paced world, silence can feel uncomfortable, but it is in the silence that intuition speaks the loudest. This is where the voice of your soul becomes clear, guiding you with love and wisdom. I always thought (and some days I still think) that I was not able to meditate.
